Mooncake Gift Sets for the Mainland and local delivery through Hong Kong / Mainland Gift Fulfillment Service
The Postmaster General, Mr. Allan CHIANG, announced today that under the Hong Kong / Mainland Gift Fulfillment Service, orders will be accepted from 4 August 2005 to 9 September 2005 for sending mooncake gift sets to the Mainland and locally within Hong Kong.
There will be a choice of eleven mooncake gift sets, including mooncakes produced in the Mainland and in Hong Kong. These traditional gifts are specially selected to cater for the needs of Hong Kong people or companies who wish to send their greetings to relatives, friends or business partners in the Mainland or Hong Kong before the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Customers can place orders for these mooncake gift sets to be sent to over 2,000 cities in the Mainland and throughout Hong Kong. Gift sets are priced from $138 to $788, inclusive of delivery charges. Order forms can be obtained at any post office. Completed order forms can be handed in at any post office, or sent by fax or post to the Hongkong Post Logistics Centre on or before 9 September 2005. Customers can also order online at the Hongkong Post Internet Shopping Mall on the ShopThruPost website (www.shopthrupost.hk), where photos of the different gift sets are displayed. All orders will be delivered on or before 17 September 2005, the eve of Mid-Autumn Festival.
Hongkong Post and China Post have teamed up to offer the Hong Kong / Mainland Gift Fulfillment Service since January 2004 to provide customers the choice and convenience in sending gift sets to friends or associates at addresses in the Mainland. Apart from mooncakes, these gift sets include Lunar New Year gifts, bouquets, cakes, flower baskets and fruit baskets.
"This service is very much in keeping with our 'Linking people, Delivering business' purpose statement," said Mr. CHIANG. "We are pleased that it has proved to be very popular with customers because of the quality and variety of the gifts, the convenience of ordering and the reliability of service. Also, on the occasion of the forthcoming Mid-Autumn Festival, we have extended the delivery service to addresses in the whole territory of Hong Kong."
