Mail services during Lunar New Year holidays

The Postmaster General, Mr. Allan CHIANG, announced today (20 January) that during the coming Lunar New Year holidays on 28 - 31 January 2006, there would be one mail delivery on Saturday, 28 January 2006 (the day preceding Lunar New Year's Day). All post offices would be closed during the holidays except Airport Post Office, General Post Office and Tsim Sha Tsui Post Office which will open on Saturday, 28 January 2006 for provision of a full range of counter services. The business hours will be from 9a.m. to 2p.m.

Mr. CHIANG added that one mail collection daily would be arranged on 28 and 31 January 2006 from all street posting boxes except those which are located on outlying islands and in remote areas. No mail collection from posting boxes will be provided on 29 and 30 January.
