"Special Attractions of The 18 Districts In Hong Kong" Special Stamps Issuing Ceremony
Hongkong Post issued today (18 July 2006) the "Special Attractions of the 18 Districts in Hong Kong" Special Stamps. At the ceremony held in the morning at the General Post Office, Mr. TAM Wing-pong, Postmaster General, Mrs. Pamela TAN, Director of Home Affairs and the Chairmen/representatives of the 18 District Councils marked the issue of the special stamps by using the magic wands to light up the number "18" on the backdrop, which is made up by the 18 pieces new stamps. As a memento of the occasion, Mr. TAM presented the framed stamps and first day covers to Mrs. TAN, the Chairmen/representatives of the 18 District Councils and Ms. Shirman LAI, designer of these special stamps.
