10th Inter-School Stamp Exhibits Competition (October 2008 – May 2008)
Stamp exhibits are developed with stamp products and narratives on a thematic basis. The Inter-School Stamp Exhibits Competition was conducted for the first time by Hongkong Post in 1999 and has become an annual exercise owing to the encouraging responses. Participating in the Competition, students could expand their knowledge of culture and history, as well as improve their writing and presentation skills. To promote this healthy and educational activity to students, Hongkong Post will continue to organize the 10th Inter-School Stamp Exhibits Competition. Exhibition of the entries will be held at HONG KONG 2009 - 23rd Asian International Stamp Exhibition
Objectives of the Competition
- To promote philately, an educational hobby among students.
- To sustain philatelic interest of student collectors.
- To offer young collectors the opportunities of producing exhibits and competing in international philatelic competitions.
Details of Participation
Regulations

The Competition is open to students of all primary and secondary schools, and full-time students of tertiary institutions in Hong Kong.

The Competition is divided into three categories based on age as below. Details of the maximum number of frames in each entry for the three categories are as follows:
Category A : Students aged below 12 (1-3 frames)
Category B : Students aged 12 to 15 (1-5 frames)
Category C : Students aged 16 or above (1-5 frames)
- The maximum number of participants for each entry is 4.
- For the frame submitted, it should have a capacity of 16 (4 x 4) standard size album pages, with size 23cm x 29cm as specified.
- Hongkong Post will sponsor each entry 1 pack of stamp mounts and 20 pieces of standard size album pages for each frame after confirmation of application and number of frame to be used.
- Participants should organise their stamps on a thematic basis and send their entries together with narratives about their collections.
Awards & Prizes
- A Champion, 1st Runner-up, 2nd Runner-up and 10 Merit Awardees will be chosen from each category. The awardees and their schools will receive the following prizes:

- Besides, each winning unit of Individual Awards will be presented a full set of Serviced First Day Covers affixed with the sets of stamps / stamp sheetlets of 2008 Special Stamp Issues.

- The Most Supporting School Awards:
For each category, the schools that submitted the largest number of exhibits will be awarded certificate and HK$2,000 book coupon. If the schools have the same number of entries, the winner will be the school that has the largest numbers of frames.
- Each entry will receive a presentation pack of the stamp issue of Hongkong Post as a token of encouragement.

Announcement
Results will be announced at the Hongkong Post Stamps website (www.hongkongpoststamps.com) in April 2009. All winners will be notified by post individually.
